I won NaNoWriMo?

Hello guys! First off all, sorry for not posting anything really for the past week and a half (don’t quote me on that, it could of been longer…) but I guess you can guess why via the title.

So somehow I won NaNoWriMo…

OH MY GOSH I CAN’T BELIEVE I WON NANOWRIMO!

Anyway, yes I won NaNoWriMo, which means somehow I managed to write 50,000 words in thirty days. Seriously I don’t know how I did it because for at least one of those weeks I just didn’t write anything. But I pulled myself together for the last full week of NaNoWriMo which is why I only posted one post that week. Sorry! But I just found that I was becoming really tired and going to bed really late. So my blogging suffered along with my reading but hey it December now and I can’t wait to go back into the blogging world and into my reading routine again.

Anyway back to NaNoWriMo, congratulations to any fellow writers who even tried to do this massive feat in November. Seriously, my full respect goes to all of you and no matter the word count, you guys are BRILLIANT!

Here is the summary to my story if you wanted to know what I was pouring all my energy in for the last thirty days.

 The Enchanted

Ophelia is an Enchantress, meaning she can control on of the four elements the world depends on. In Taibria Enchanters are to be locked away as they threaten the easy routine of the Taibrian people.

After she creates a deadly forest fire, Ophelia is taken away and kept under lock and key in a high security prison for the rest of her life…well that’s until she is kidnapped by the rival kingdom Arbius four years later- to be used as a war weapon.

But what Ophelia doesn’t know is that she’ll be making a lot of dangerous foes along her way and and not everyone can be trusted, including her own mind sometimes.

Rosalie on the other hand is a bored princess and Enchantress for there is no adventure for the future heir of the Kingdom of Elium. That’s until a ‘non magical’ with a stubborn persona and driven mind catches her eye.

Suddenly her life is turned on it’s head when she has to escape a Taibrian invasion leaving only with her hot fury for revenge and a snarky non magical.

As there lives cross and entwine not everyone will be able to survive the upcoming war that threatens to destroy life as anyone knows it.

Now I am probably only 50% way into this novel, but I think I’m sticking with it. I’m going to spend a few days away from it though (my characters really drove my crazy in November) but I am definietly going back to this story. It’s going to be werid during December, not to put writing at the forefront of my mind everyday, but it is also welcomed too.

I don’t know if I’m going to do NaNoWriMo next year, but it is too early to tell so I won’t put a definite answer yet.

I’ll write soon (and I actually will!)

Congrats on winning nanowrimo! The summary of your story sounds interesting it would be awesome to read it after you finish writing it up and editing it. Coming up with good characters is hard, what are some of the techniques you did to create your characters?

Thank you! Aw really? Only half of it done during NaNo which I guess is a good thing! Sure then if you would like to read it! Hm I normally draw inspiration from people all around me. I come up with the idea first normally so then I see if the characters I made in my head can fit the story. I also make sure they all have human traits so that they are more real πŸ™‚
