Top Ten Tuesday- Books that have been recently added to my TBR!

Hello guys! I hope everybody is having a great start to the working week! I am loving this topic for this week as I’ve been adding loads of books to my TBR. A resolution of mine is it not read a lot of YA which I am inclined to do, so some of the books below are not in the realm of YA.  Without further ado, and in no particular order, here is my list!

1) Our Endless Numbered Days by Claire Fuller

The premise for this novel is really grim but st the same time, really intriguing. I keep seeing this book more often now that I added it to my list, so I will need to purchase it soon so I don’t get spoiled.

2) The Novice by Taran Matharu

22297138

I just recently heard about this book, like a couple of hours ago recently, and it remind me slightly of the anime Death Note, which I haven’t watched but know a ton about, but it seems like the protagonist can summon demons. Basically it sounds epic!

3) The Gap of Time by Jeanette Winterson

I think this year is the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death so a bunch of authors are going to be writing re-tellings of some of this stories. The Gap of Time is a retelling of The Winter’s Tale, which I cannot recall if I have read or not, but that doesn’t matter because apparently it has The Winter’s Tale at the start of the book. Anyway a lot of people have been saying it’s good, so I might as well give it a shot.

4) Heartless by Marissa Meyer

18584855

I think a lot of YA readers have this book recently added to their TBR list. I love how the Queen of Hearts wanted to be a baker in Meyer’s backstory and these kind of stories seems to be her element so it might just be a great read.

7) Room by Emma Donoghue

Another creepy, but interesting tale here. I’ve seen the movie trailer for the adaptation and it looks pretty good, but you know us book lovers, we like to read the book before the movie.

6) Grief Is The Thing With Feathers by Maxx Porter

This book was recommended to me ages ago and it’s only now I feel like I want to read something a bit dark and a bit magical realism-ey and I heard this book is dark and magical realism-ey and brilliant!

7) Wolf by Wolf by Ryan Graudin

24807186

Don’t really need to say much here. It’s been getting good feedback and the plot seems awesome, so I want to read it. Soon.

8) The Infernal Devices Trilogy by Cassandra Clare

I want to read this trilogy so much! First of all the covers, both the new ones and the old ones, are great and there is so much love for the books, I kind of want to know what all the hype and love is about!

9) Foxlowe by Eleanor Wasserberg

I’m just going to dump the summary here so you can see how interesting this book seems.

We were the Family, and Foxlowe was our home.

There was me – my name is Green – and my little sister, Blue. There was October, who we called Toby, and Ellensia, Dylan, Liberty, Pet and Egg. There was Richard, of course, who was one of the Founders. And there was Freya.

We were the Family, but we weren’t just an ordinary family. We were a new, better kind of family.

We didn’t need to go to school, because we had a new, better kind of education. We shared everything. We were close to the ancient way of living and the ancient landscape. We knew the moors, and the standing stones. We celebrated the solstice in the correct way, with honey and fruit and garlands of fresh flowers. We knew the Bad and we knew how to keep it away.

And we had Foxlowe, our home. Where we were free.

There really was no reason for anyone to want to leave.

10) This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab

23299512

I just realised that the shape on the cover is violin! I am so bad and spotting those kinds of things. Anyway, Victoria Schwab has gotten a lot of praise for her book, A Darker Shade of Magic, and though I really want to read it, this book has drawn my interest more and I can’t wait until it’s released.

There are all of my books that have recently made my TBR! I great diverse selection I think and I can’t wait to get to all of them as soon as I can. These are like priority books this year along with another ten, but I definitely want to get to these.

Tell me below if any of the books above are on your TBR pile or if there’s another book that I should have on mine in the comments. I’m happy to discuss!

I’ll write soon!

Oh my gosh yes, I have both Wolf by Wolf and This Savage Song on my TBR as well, any of Schwab’s books cannot arrive fast enough for me! And I didn’t even notice that there was a violin shape on the cover either…… haha 🙂

This Savage Song is definitely one of my most anticipated books of the year. It took me a while to spot thee violin as well. I’m not the most observant haha. Wolf by Wolf is one book I’ve heard nothing but great things about so I’m hoping to check it off my tbr list soon. I hope you get the chance to make your way through the list soon and that you enjoy the books. 😀
