June Book Haul (self control prevails)

Hello! Posting a classic end-of-the-month post y’all. Can I just say, it’s been an absolute struggle not to buy every book that was published in between 2016 to 2019. I can’t believe how many fantastic books I’ve missed out on! However despite feeling like I need to buy every single book ever, I showed an extreme amount of restraint and actually bought only three books. THREE BOOKS?! Lets check them out! Continue reading

March 2016 Book Haul!

Hello guys! It’s book haulin’ time! So this month I got 13 books and borrowed four library books! I think I just kept buying books throughout the month which is why I acquired a lot. I’m going to try to half the amount next month but for now let’s get on with what I  got this month!

January 2016 Book Haul!

My first book haul post of 2016! I think this is probably my second book haul of posted in general as well. So this is a mix of books I bought and books I’ve borrowed from the library because libraries are amazing! So let’s get on to books I borrowed from the library first.

As you can see I borrowed four books and they are all very different to each other. I decided to pick up The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness as I just saw it on the shelves and I wanted to have it in possession just encase I feel like reading it during February.  I also picked up Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins because I want to see whether I like this book or not. I hear mixed things about it whenever I bring it up, so I hope I’m on the it’s-such-a-cute-contemporary-side.

I picked up Red Rising by Pierce Brown on Friday but I think I might be returning it soon because I ordered the book from Amazon just yesterday. Then I just wanted to have Anne Frank: The Diary of Young Girl just encase I wanted to read it during February. Another book that is not pictured here that I picked up was The Perks of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky as it seemed like it would be a quick read.

Now onto the books I bought!

I got Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by  Jane Austen, Seth Grahame-Smith and Philip Smiley as a partnership thing in my head. I’m planning to read both of these novels in 2016, but more on that in my February TBR post. I also got Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte which is a classic I really want to read this year, if not next month.

I have Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas! This book is so beautiful as well and I am so reading this in February! I also obtained Scarlet by Marissa Meyer and Room by Emma Donoghue.

I thought I should just mention that I got Worlds of Ink and Shadow by Lena Coakley from my January Owlcrate. A post should be coming about that box soon.

So there we have it! Those are all of the books I hauled this month! What do you think about them? What books have you bought/borrowed this month? Comment down below and I’ll be happy to discuss!

I’ll write soon.

October Book Haul!

Hey everyone! How’s everyone’s Monday’s been? My Monday’s been great because I got booooooks! Ah, I love books so much and I always have this epiphany when I buy another book. But not just one book I bought, no no no, but EIGHT BOOKS! Can you tell I’m a bit hyper? Because of NaNoWriMo, I won’t be able to read all of these books even before the middle of November probably, but HEY books are books. Lets get haulin’ then!

Firstly, I finally have the personal copy of the Hunger Games Trilogy! Don’t worry, I have read the Hunger Games and Catching Fire and Mockingjay, but I just got them all from the library, so it feels good to have all of them to own!

The next two books I got was The Rest Of Us Just Live Here by Patrick Ness and Six Of Crows by Leigh Bardugo! I was basically hugging these books all day. Two of the most anticipated books of the year…in my hands! I just cannot wait to read these two!

Even though people say that the other cover glows, this cover is just perfect!

The next batch of books was Snow Like Fire by Sara Raasch and More Than This by Patrick Ness. Snow Like Fire was going to be one of those books that I say I really want to read, but not pick up because of new releases or exisisting books I have read. But I saw this in the bookstore and just thought this is the day. And the bookstore assistant person said it was on her Christmas list. Then while I was paying for those books, the person said More than this made her cry hard and it was a special book. Hopefully I can read these books during NaNoWriMo.

Lastly, I have Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs. This is going to be my ONLY spooky read this month and I am pretty unashamed to say that! This books seems so cool and mean the pictures. THE PICTURES! I cannot wait to dive into this book. I am waiting until it is a couple of days before Halloween because I am weird and then I’m going to read it.

And that was my October haul! Obviously, you guys know that I bought Carry On and Ninth Girl but the ones I shown were the more recent books I got.

I hope you enjoyed this haul because I really enjoyed getting all of these books- though my purse would say otherwise.

I’ll write soon.
