‘I’m going to try to half the amount next month’
Those were my naive words from my March Book Haul and that was when I got thirteen books that month. Do you know how many books I got this month?….Twelve. One less. Gosh I’m such a bibliophile it’s unbelievable.
ANYWAY, yes yes I got twelve, but they are twelve beautiful books which I love that I have now! So enough blabbering and let’s get on with the books! By the way these books are in no particular order!
Books Bought:
I got The Next Together by Lauren James and Radio Silence by Alice Oseman at around about the same time because they were both coming to a bookshop to chat and do a book signing. Now both of my lovely books are signed! I haven’t read The Next Together and I haven’t really heard a lot about it though I remember there being some buzz when it was released. By the sounds of it though, it sounds pretty awesome and sciencey. I’ll talk more about Radio Silence in my wrap-up tomorrow, but here is my review if you to check it out.
Then I got The Knife of Letting Go by Patrick Ness and is a huge hunk of a book! But the spine is a beautiful, bold red which I love. I also got How Hard Can Love Be? By Holly Bourne which I finished yesterday and my review should be up early tomorrow!
I FINALLY GOT SOME GRAPHIC NOVELS, PEOPLE!!! I got the well loved and well hyped Nimona by Noelle Stevenson and I hope it is the cute read I’m expecting it to be (the artwork is super cute!). I just love the sturdiness of the copy as well, which completely contrasts to the thin and floppy The Wicked + The Divine by Kieron Gillen, Jamie McKelvie , Matt Wilson Clayton Cowles. My review is here if you want to check it out, but basically I really enjoyed it!
Futhermore, I picked up a adult fiction novel (YEEESSSS!) and it’s Look Who’s Back by Timur Vermes and this book made it’s way into one of my TTT- – and I was saying how I wanted to read it and now I’ve got it! I’ll be starting A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas next month in preparation for the second book, A Court of Mist and Fury, coming out during May. The cover is prettier then I thought it would be!
Lastly, I got these four books, three of which are bought and the other was given to me. While in the middle of reading The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater and knowing I was loving it, I ordered both The Dream Thieves and Blue Lily, Lily Blue. Both covers are gorgeous and I can’t wait to read them next week.
I got The Romanovs: 1613-1918 by Simon Sebag Montefiore which is a non-fiction book. You read right- non-fiction.. And it’s about history! It is seriously so beautiful I feel like spamming it on my instagram! Can’t wait to read about the Romanovs! And finally I got The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho from my mum who thought I might like this. Not going to lie, I don’t know what it’s about, but mother knows best right?
So those are all of the books I got during April! Comment down below what your recent purchases have been and also what you think about some of mine and if you have read any of them!
I’ll write soon!

The Knife Of Never Letting Go and A Court Of Thorns And Roses, YESS! Both books are so good! I’ve read The Alchemist as well and it’s good enough, although maybe a tad too religious to my taste. I’m going to read The Raven Cycle sequels soon as well! Great haul. 😀

I’ve heard great things about both of them. Though they aren’t officially on my TBR I’m definitely going to try and get to them during May.
I’m a couple of pages into The Dream Thieves and I’m loving it! The writing is SO GOOD!

Your mom picked an excellent book. The Alchemist is one of the most famous and beloved novels of the second half of the 20th century.
Enjoy Nimona and The Wicked and the Divine! I can attest to the latter being great, and I’m sure Nimona will be as amazing as everyone says it is.

Oh man Nimona and A Court of Thorns and Roses are both amazing! I really really hope you love both of them, also yay for The Dream Thieves and Blue Lily, Lily Blue. That whole series is so brilliant so I can’t wait to see what you think of them both.
I’ve heard a lot of great things about The Knife of Never Letting Go, I really need to read it soon!

I’ve heard that they both are, so I can’t wait to read them when I get the chance!
I thought smartly this time and got the second and third one and not just the second one!
People say The The Knife of Never Letting Go is good, but all I see is a brick that is very intimidating!

You won’t be disappointed when you do finish them, I can guarantee that 😀
That is smart! It’s kind of what I do all the time, even if I’m not sure if I’ll like a series I still buy all the books that have been released so far. This is probably why I have problems with money!
Yeah it does seem like a massive book doesn’t it! I’m hoping to get around to it soon, maybe before the year is out.

Hahaha yeah that’s the reason why I normally don’t buy all of the books at the same time but exceptions are exceptions!

I read the Alchemist 2 or 3 times maybe and I loved it ! It is kind if spiritual and philosophical, all about a man’s journey. It’s really worth the read 😀

2, 3 times! It must be good! I guess I have to read it when I’m in the philosophical mood.

It is good when you like that kind of books 😊, because I can see why people dislike find it boring ! It was my first ever “grown-up” read hahaha

Yay, thanks!!
The Wicked + The Divine was great! I read it a couple of days after I bought it
I can’t wait to read the rest of them!

I keep telling myself that I am going to buy Nimona, but it’s so expensive considering that I won’t even spend half the time I would spend on a book with it.

I really just took the plunge and bought it before I could change my mind. It was a couple of quid cheap then it usually was as well so I just took my chance!

Good on you! Even a little cheaper is better than the usual price 😉

I am REALLY excited to get Radio Silence, I can’t wait to hear your thoughts about that one. I read The Next Together earlier this year, and it was really good, I enjoyed it, I hope you will, too! I need to get to that Patrick Ness series as well sometme, aha 😛

I did a review on it (which was just full of my gushing about Radio Silence to be honest hahaha). Oh great! I’m really looking forward to reading it when I get the chance!
The series is basically three bricks! It makes me cry because it’s so long, but then rejoice because I love Ness!
