March 2016 TBR!

Hello and happy St David’s Day! The first day of March has been truly terrible- weather wise anyway- but at least the sun stays out longer so I can take some half decent book photos for my Instagram.

For March I limited myself slightly, just so that I definitely know which books I have to read when I finish one. Hopefully I will read all of these books within the first two weeks, so that I can read some others that didn’t make the TBR cut.

1)Β The Great Gatsby by F.Scott-Fitzgerald

I am reading the Great Gatsby for my Classic 2016 challenge- which is going really great. After the nice, but dense Pride and Prejudice, this classic is delightfully thin and I should have it finished in two days if it is the awesome classic everyone says it is.

2) The Opening Bell by J.B. Garner

This book is an ARC I received from the author. I think I’m interested in this book because it’s about wrestling. Now I’m not saying that I love wrestling or I’m a massive fan, but I guess because I’m a bit mind blank in the topic I should educate myself kind of.

3) How To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee

This book was always going to be on my March TBR and I’m happy that I will be reading another classic this month and an almost guaranteed great book. I almost felt guilty that I did not read this book while Harper Lee was still alive, but I guess better late than never.

4) Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton

I bought this last month and I though I shouldn’t leave it on my shelf for too long. I’ve seen really good things about this book and the setting isn’t the usual fantasy castle or cobblestone which makes me excited to read it.

5)Β Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas

This is in my March TBR because I didn’t get to it in February (you can blame the Red Rising trilogy for that) but this book is now a priority. I need to read it quick before I get spoiled!

6) Scarlet by Marissa Meyer

This book is here because of the same reasons Heir of Fire is here. I really want to read this as well because I keep seeing such amazing fanart from the fandom which makes me want to read the other books in the series.

7) The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah

I just really want to tuck into some nice Historical Fiction and this book gets recommended so much. I’ve had it on me since late last year and I think it’s time to crack the spine a bit.

There is my March TBR! Let’s hope I can make it through all of these great titles!

What books are you planning to read? Have you read any books that are on my TBR? Comment below and I’ll be sure to comment back!

To Kill A Mockingbird is excellent. I’m a little reluctant to read Go Set A Watchman, though 😐
The Nightingale has such a pretty cover and the story seems right on my alley!

Happy Saint Davids day aka the day I stuff my face with Welsh cakes haha. I love the mix of books here. Scarlet is a must read. The Lunar Chronicles are one of my favourite book series so I hope you enjoy it. To Kill a Mockingbird was probably the only book I enjoyed studying in school haha.

I read To Kill a Mockingbird a few years back. It was pretty good. I haven’t decided what’s on my TBR list. I just read whatever I feel like at the time? I do have to finish 100 year old man who climbed out the window and disappeared.

I read Rebel of the Sands recently and it was really good, in my opinion. I had a few issues with the writing (I feel like the author tried too hard, if you see what I mean?) but otherwise the world and characters were fantastic!
