Owlcrate December Box Review!

Special kind of post today guys- a subscription box review! Now, late November I ordered an Owlcrate box because I have heard amazing things about the subscription service from mainly booktubers and I thought I should treat myself-like an early Christmas present!

My box actually came in earlier this month but I just didn’t post this review on it weirdly enough. So this is my review written a couple of weeks back being posted now! If you still haven’t received your box (but I’m pretty sure you have) look away now!

So firstly when I opened the box I got the little OwlCrate card saying everything that was in the box. Then I got a look at my first goody.

This is a soy candle from Frostbeard  and it smells delicious! This particular candle is coffee beans and chocolate. I’m going to start burning it soon when I am in the relaxing mood.

 Next I saw the reading journal which I think is from Penguin but it doesn’t specificially say as a person could get a different reading journal from Chronicle Books. This is going to be super handy during next year as I’m going to try and keep notes on the books I’ve read in 2016 and it also contains some bookish quotes on random pages which is a nice touch.

Then I got this pretty magnet by Sandra Vargas. To be honest I don’t know what I’m going to do with this- I’m not really into magnets- but as I said it is really pretty.

Look at the cute to do list notepad! It’s from Boy Girl Party and hopefully this keeps me organised. I do love writing to do lists and I normally stick to them.

Now the book. Well firstly more magnets. Apparently this book has a lot of poetry in it, so you can make your own poetry with the magnets, which makes it a little bit more useful than the other one in the box.

Now the book, here’s the synopsis:

I have to say that I am really looking forward to reading this as I have not read a historical fiction novel in a while. Where to story takes place is pretty interesting too!
