Hello everyone! I’m here today doing a Top Ten Tuesday, which I haven’t did in ages! I hope everyone is having a great Tuesday- it’s only a week and a few days until Christmas so I hope everyone is still blasting out their Christmas music!
I have read some great books this year- all of them you probably know because I am always gushing about them. So lets get listing!
1. More Than This by Patrick Ness
This book was a real surprise for me, but I loved every minute of reading it! Though it’s a thick book, it zoomed by surprisingly fast and with the plot developing at an excitable pace, I just lost myself in the pages.
2. Illuminae by Amy Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
THIS. BOOK. IS. SO. EPIC. If this book was written in normally prose this book would not be as good, I can say that for sure, but because this book is expertly written through emails, reports and instant messaging. The writing in this book is just SO GOOD, everyone needs to read this book.
3. The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
The descriptions in this book are some of the best I have read in books. The writing ignites all of your senses, and you can almost breath in the circus air. It’s best to go into this book with as little knowledge as possible because it just enhances the reading experience I feel.
4. Throne Of Glass by Sarah. J. Mass
Not the most amazing book I’ve read this year, but definietly very good book and one of the best first books for a series I think.
5. Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard
The plot twists in this book will blow your mind. I loved this book so much and it’s the book that got me into reading again this year so extra credit to this book. I cannot wait for Glass Sword next year!
6. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
Um so where do I begin with this beautiful beautiful book? First of all if you think you are not going to cry think again because you are. Second, I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH! The narration the excellent, the writing was excellent. Just everything excellent!
7. The Queen Of The Tearling by Erika Johansen
This book has got a strong protagonist, politics, magic. It is written really strongly and I love the pacing of the whole novel as well. I really just enjoyed myself reading this book.
8. The Invasion Of The Tearling by Erika Johansen
OOOOH this sequel was so superb! All of the different POVs are so welcome and the characters were fantastically meaty. This second book was awesome simply.
9. Six Of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
Three words: Action-packed adventure. The cast of characters we are introduced to are just so alive. The plot is non stop twists and turns and it really just leaves you at the mercy of Bardugo’s fantastic writing. I need the sequel NOW!
10. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
This was one of my favourite contemporaries of the year. Rainbow Rowell does a badass job of writing this quick paced, fun heavy story about a fangirl. The main protagonist was just so relatable it was scary. Not really but you know what I mean. Read this book if you haven’t already.
And that’s my top ten this Tuesday! Please do link your TTTs down below as I would love to see what books you’ve bee loving my this year!
I’ll write soon!

Illuminae is great, you should definitely read it! It was one of my favourite reads this year, so it’s no wonder it was on all the lists! Thanks 😉

Great list! I’m personally not that big of a fan of The Book Thief, but Six Of Crows, Throne Of Glass, The Night Circus, Fangirl and Red Queen are among my 2015 favorites as well! And I have a copy of The Queen Of The Tearling, Illuminae and More Than This waiting to be read. 😀

Great list, I love all your picks for this week, they’re all books I’ve either read and loved, or that are on my to-read list for next year.
Six of Crows is on my TTT for this week as well, I’ve enjoyed all of Leigh Bardugo’s books. I nearly added Fangirl but chose Carry On instead, I had to have at least one book by Rainbow Rowell in there 🙂

Thanks! All of these books are amazing and all definite good reads! I enjoyed Fangirl more than Carry On I think so that’s why Fangirl edged it’s way on to my TTT.

Some of them are my favourites of all time, not just 2015, The Book Thief and The Night Circus are two I’ll read at least once a year. Both Fangirl and Carry On are really good, I need to read some more of Rainbow Rowell’s books next year.

So many great books in this list. The Book Thief remains to be one of my all time favourite books and The Night Circus is so beautiful, it felt like I stepped into a fairy-tale. I’ve heard some great things about The Queen of the Tearling but have yet to pick it up.
